Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology

Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology was founded in 1928 by W.G. Skelly after starting the Spartan Aircraft Company in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  He knew there would be a need to train pilots and aircraft mechanics, and he was right.

Since then, Spartan has trained well over 130,000 pilots and technicians, expanded its program offerings and added an additional campus. Formerly known as Redstone College, the new Denver campus, located in Broomfield, Colorado, was acquired in 2016. The campus is located next to Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport and offers degrees in Airframe & Powerplant, Aviation Electronics Technology, as well as a diploma and degree in Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning. This campus is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC) and licensed by DPOS.

The Los Angeles area campus was acquired in 2014 and was called Crimson Technical College (previously known as Northrop Rice). This campus changed its name to Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology in mid-2015. Spartan’s Los Angeles area campus is located near LAX and focuses on an Airframe & Powerplant diploma and an Aviation Maintenance Technology associate of occupational studies. Their branch campus at the Flabob Airport in Riverside offers an Aviation Maintenance Technology diploma. Every program prepares students to obtain their A & P Certification recognized by the FAA. Both campuses are accredited by the Council on Occupational Education (COE).

The Tulsa area has two campuses, a Technology Campus located near Tulsa International Airport, which offers diploma and degrees in Aviation Maintenance Technology, Aviation Electronics Technology, Nondestructive Testing, Quality Control as well as a Bachelor of Science in Aviation Technology Management.  The Flight Campus is located on the Richard L. Jones Airport in south Tulsa and offers diploma and associate programs in Aviation Flight (professional pilot).  These campuses are accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC) and are licensed by OBPVS.
